Today is the funeral for "M"'s Mom. I have decided to attend to help support the family. Its also a good reminder (to me) of the damage addiction/selfish choices can cause.

If an addict/alcoholic thinks that they are hurting only themselves, all they need to do is attnd one of these funerals for one who has succumbed to their illness to see the pain that it causes. The hurt runs deep, and it never truly goes away.

I can only hope that (over time) it becomes bearable for the ones left behind.
